Introduction
The Accounting program is a second-level discipline in the field of Business Administration. This program aims to cultivate high-quality applied talents in the field of business administration who possess knowledge and skills in finance, management, economics, and law. Graduates are equipped with the ability to analyze and solve financial and economic issues and can engage in accounting practices, teaching, and research in enterprises, institutions, and government departments. Accounting is a well-established program at our university and within the region. It was designated as a key construction program at Nanning University in 2014, recognized as a high-quality program in 2017, and designated as a key construction program at private universities in Guangxi Autonomous Region in 2018.
Cultivation Objectives
This program aims to cultivate high-quality applied talents who uphold the Party's basic principles, adapt to social and economic development, and possess comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor skills. Students will be prepared to engage in accounting tasks such as financial analysis, tax declaration, and the use of financial software in enterprises and institutions. They will also be equipped to work in accounting firms, performing tasks such as auditing and financial consulting. They will possess a solid foundation of knowledge in management, economics, law, and taxation. Furthermore, they will have a strong understanding of the basic principles and theories of financial accounting, along with a humanistic spirit, scientific literacy, integrity, and good learning abilities. They will have the ability to handle accounting and cost accounting, interpret financial policies, and manage funds. Overall, they will demonstrate strong practical skills and an innovative mindset, making them highly capable applied talents in the field of accounting.

Characteristics
The Accounting program is designated as a key program at private universities in Guangxi, as well as a key program and high-quality program at Nanning University. The curriculum system revolves around the core competencies of accounting, including accounting processing, cost accounting, interpretation of financial policies, and funds management. With the support of off-campus accounting service companies, we have established a practical training base to implement a blended learning approach, where theoretical knowledge is combined with practical applications. Students are provided with authentic accounting tasks in real businesses to enhance their technical skills, hands-on application abilities, and practical capabilities. Additionally, we offer comprehensive experiential courses, such as business-integrated experiments, to ensure that theory and practice are synchronized. This approach prepares our students to seamlessly transition into their chosen careers upon graduation.
Teaching Staff
The Accounting program has a total of 21 full-time faculty members. Among them, 5 hold the title of professor or other senior positions, 8 hold the title of associate professor or other associate senior positions, and 6 hold the title of lecturer or other mid-level positions. There are 14 dual-qualified teachers who possess both academic and practical experience. Among the full-time faculty, 65% have practical experience working in the accounting field, bringing rich practical expertise and teaching experience to the program.
Employment and Innovation
The employment prospects for graduates of the accounting program are mainly in accounting firms, various types of enterprises (including commercial banks, securities firms, and other financial institutions), government agencies, and public institutions to engage in accounting practices and financial management. Graduates can also find employment opportunities in schools and research institutions, where they can work in accounting-related teaching and research. The initial employment rate of this program has remained above 92% over the past three years.
The Accounting program places significant emphasis on fostering students' innovative and entrepreneurial abilities, resulting in outstanding achievements in various competitions. Since 2016, the program has consistently secured first or second prizes in the Guangxi College Students' Accounting Skills Competition. Additionally, it has earned several awards in national competitions such as the National Applied Undergraduate Accounting Skills Competition and the National Private University Financial and Tax Skills Competition. The program has also been recognized for its achievements in the "Internet+" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, winning two national-level bronze awards, three regional-level gold awards, as well as multiple regional-level silver and bronze awards.
