Guangxi Key Laboratory of International Join for China-ASEAN Comprehensive Transportation (hereinafter referred to as this lab) is a major issue of scientific and technological innovation cooperation between the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region government, Sichuan provincial government, and Shanxi provincial government. Focusing on “Strategy of innovation-driven development”, “Talents Strategy for Powerful Nation” and “The Belt and Road Initiative”, adopting the opening strategy of internal and external combination and vertical and horizontal linkage, this lab is also the new mission of deep implementing the state's "three positionings" for Guangxi to build academician workstation, doctor mobile workstation, Chang Jiang Scholars and national outstanding young experts and teams. With the participation of well-known universities and enterprises at home and abroad, it integrates civil engineering, machinery, electronics, signaling, transportation, materials, and other disciplines. It is a "high-level, international and open" major scientific and technological innovation platform, which can effectively carry out the joint training and training of international graduate students, strategic decision-making consultation, tackling major key industrial technologies, transferring and transforming scientific and technological achievements, building a new land-sea channel in Western China, and effectively serve the development and application of new comprehensive transportation technologies in Guangxi and ASEAN.

Relying on the resources, teachers and scientific research strength of Southwest Jiaotong University, Chang'an University, Tongji University, Beijing Jiaotong University and many other state-level key laboratories and cooperating with schools and enterprises in the region, this lab carries out the research on Guangxi comprehensive transportation and trains the local comprehensive transportation talents in Guangxi; Actively adopting the measures of introducing High-level Talents from ASEAN countries to join the laboratory and setting up laboratory sub-centers in relevant institutions and enterprises of ASEAN countries, this lab carries out international cooperation research on ASEAN regional integrated transportation technology and trains comprehensive transportation technology talents of different levels in ASEAN countries.

Facing the needs of China ASEAN comprehensive transportation, and through the application of basic research, application technology research and application object research, taking rail transit as the starting point, the lab will successively carry out the modern construction technology, new equipment and facilities, system inspection, detection and maintenance technology and coordinated development technology of comprehensive transportation in Guangxi and ASEAN Regional Railway, highway, water transportation, aviation and pipeline transportation Research and development application, provide the latest research results of new comprehensive transportation theory methods, key technologies and routes, technical standards, new models, new materials, etc., and assist in the incubation of technical achievements and industrial upgrading.
