Cultivation Objectives

This program aims to cultivate high-quality applied talents who uphold the Party's fundamental principles, adapt to social and economic development needs, and achieve comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor skills. Students will be prepared to work in fields such as computer software development, mobile application development, and system operations and maintenance. They will acquire a solid foundation in mathematics and natural sciences, as well as the fundamental theories, knowledge, and skills related to computer systems. Characteristics

The Computer Science and Technology program closely follows the goal of cultivating applied talents and explores new modes, paths, and technologies for the cultivation of applied talents. This effectively promotes the ecological development of the program and the improvement of the quality of talent training, with remarkable characteristic advantages. This program is also a key major of the autonomous region.


1. We have established a development mechanism based on a community of shared interests, proposing a new type of professional development that involves the collaboration of "dual subjects" in industry and education. This model aligns with regional economic and social development, innovates new modes of applied talent cultivation, and seamlessly integrates professional development with industrial technological advancements, showcasing distinct ecological characteristics.

2. We have established the concept and goals of "five integration" between industry and education. We have implemented a "ten shared" strategy for deep integration between industry and education, and explored and practiced a quality evaluation mechanism based on the "four-degree match". These efforts have promoted innovation in teaching models and yielded fruitful outcomes in curriculum development. Our applied talent cultivation pathways are clear and effective.

3. We have set goals for the development of new forms of practical teaching under the concept of "technological new infrastructure construction". Through the construction of data-intelligent teaching platforms and comprehensive reforms based on scientific and intelligent practice teaching, we have achieved technological innovation, model innovation, and management innovation in the reform of practical teaching. This has effectively improved the quality of professional talent cultivation and demonstrated a strong demonstration and leading role in the application of modern information technology in talent development.


Teaching Staff

The Computer Science and Technology teaching and research department currently consists of 11 professional teachers, with 54.55% of them holding senior titles and 63.64% holding doctoral or master's degrees. The teachers demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm for teaching reform and possess strong teaching and research capabilities. The department has achieved significant results in applied research projects, high-quality professional construction, demonstration course development, and curriculum and teaching model reforms. These accomplishments have been made by a research team, professional teaching team, and course teaching team primarily composed of young and middle-aged backbone teachers.


Associate Professor Lu Tao, the director of the teaching and research department, has previously led and participated in over 10 research projects at the provincial and national levels, including projects in Guangxi universities, undergraduate education and teaching projects by the Guangxi Department of Education, and collaborative projects between industry and academia supported by the Ministry of Education.

He has published over 20 research papers, authored two books (including textbooks), and obtained one software copyright. He has provided guidance to students who participate in various professional skills and innovation competitions, such as the "Lanqiao Cup" National Software Technology Competition, the Computer Design Competition, and the "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Students under his guidance have achieved national and provincial awards in these competitions.

Employment opportunities:

Software engineers, system operation and maintenance engineers, full-stack engineers, UI front-end design engineers, network engineers, back-end development engineers, and so on. The employment rate of graduates in the recent three years reached 93.66%.
