The national final of Smart Car Race 2024(one of National Class A competitions), hosted by Chinese Association of Automation and organized by Harbin Engineering University, concluded. Team “Nightfall on Longting Road”, from College of Information Engineering of Nanning University, won the first prize of Smart Car Race 2024 with an excellent fourth-place ranking in the Electromagnetic (undergraduate) group of the national final, after great performances of preliminaries and finals. The team, consisting of students Wei Jiangcheng, Huang Jiangbin and Fan Zhijin, competed with teams from more than 50 top universities in China, including Harbin Institute of Technology, Chongqing University, Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

The race not only tested the professional level, teamwork awareness and comprehensive ability of Nanning University students, but also fully demonstrated their endeavour and innovation. In the future, College of Information Engineering will continue to promote learning, ability and teaching through competition, further practice the new path of talent training, and strive for greater achievements.
