The 26th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition National Final came to a successful conclusion in Yixing, a vibrant city, from August 24th to 25th. As an important event in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence in China, the competition attracted more than 407 elite teams from 208 colleges and universities across the country, including Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology and Zhejiang University. More than 1,300 students gathered together to engage in a intense competition of wisdom and innovation in the field of intelligent robotics, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and other cutting-edge technologies. Under the guidance of the college leaders and teachers, the five participating teams from College of Artificial Intelligence and Software of Nanning University stood out with their excellent creative design and solid technical strength, and won the honor for the school.
In the “Roban Humanoid Standard Platform Virtual Simulation” course, the team “F404” composed of students Ning Zhirong, Li Kunling and Ye Junhao won the first prize by virtue of its innovative intelligent decision-making design concept and excellent stability performance. And the team “Secrets of 209” composed of Lu Sai, Wang Siming and Pang Zihao won the second prize. In addition, three teams achieved excellent results in the “Composite Robot Moon Exploration” course. The “MoonScavenger” team composed of Liang Hanwen, Pan Liyu and Chen Feihua won the second prize. The team “Road to the Moon” composed of He Qi, Chen Qingyang and Tang Xuemei won the second prize. Team “ZZZZ” composed of Chen Xiang, Zhang Zhaoqin and Li Xiaoping won the third prize. The outstanding performance of all these teams demonstrated the cultural deposit of Nanning University students in the field of artificial intelligence.
During the preparation for the competition, teachers and students from Nanning University braved hardships and seized the time to devote to R&D and debugging work. They conducted in-depth research on the core technical difficulties, such as the robot’s autonomous navigation, environment perception, intelligent decision-making and so on. In order to ensure that the robot can complete its tasks stably and efficiently in the competition, they constantly optimized the algorithms, adjusted the parameters, and conducted a large number of simulation tests. The spirit of excellence and exploration is the vivid embodiment of Nanning University’s motto of “self-discipline, self-reliance, great virtue, and erudition”.
The competition not only provided a valuable opportunity for the students of Nanning University to show themselves and communicate, but also stimulated their interest and desire to explore the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. Nanning University will continue to adhere to the educational concept of “Application, Openness, New Experience”, strengthen practical teaching and scientific research innovation, cultivate more high-quality talents with innovative spirit and practical ability, and contribute to the development of China’s robotics and artificial intelligence industry.
