On September 18, leveraging the cooperative opportunities presented by the 2025 Nanning-Hanoi Economic Corridor and the Belt and Road Nanning Friendly Cities Exchange Conference, Nanning University and Chiang Mai University of Thailand officially signed the “Cooperative Agreement on the Bachr-Master Articulation Program between Nanning University and Chiang Mai University.” This collaboration not only signifies a profound integration in talent cultivation, academic exchanges, and scientific research between the two institutions but also serves as a concrete measure in actively responding to the Belt and Road Initiative and supporting the economic development of the China-ASEAN region. Through the joint establishment of the elobachelor's-master's articulation program, both parties will work together to cultivate business talents with international perspectives and practical capabilities, providing solid talent and intellectual support for enhancing China-Thailand economic and trade connectivity and fostering the prosperity of digital trade. This marks a new phase of shared development and resource sharing in the cooperation between the two universities.

The delegation conducted a field inspection of the Business College's relevant laboratories and teaching facilities, gaining a detailed understanding of the college's curriculum system and teaching models in cross-border e-commerce talent training, operational practicums, and data analysis. During the visit, both parties exchanged forward-looking and practical perspectives on key areas, including the application of big data analytic in consumer demand forecasting, the use of AI technology in optimizing cross-border logistics routes and intelligent product selection, as well as how to precisely align with the demands of the China-ASEAN cross-border e-commerce industry, jointly develop internationalized curriculum modules, and collaborate on research projects related to regional e-commerce development.

During the exchange, Wang Tao proposed a collaborative vision: In the future, the two universities could jointly conduct specialized research on cross-border e-commerce and talent cultivation targeting the Southeast Asian market, while integrating corporate resources to enable students to deeply participate in the operation of real cross-border trade projects. This approach aims to enhance their capabilities in international business communication, cross-cultural operations, and technological applications through practical experience. This proposal received a positive response from the visiting delegation.

Both sides agreed that cross-border e-commerce, as an important carrier for promoting regional economic and trade cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, holds broad prospects for cooperation. In the future, the two universities will take the undergraduate-to-graduate joint degree program as a starting point to further deepen practical cooperation in cross-border e-commerce talent cultivation, joint research initiatives, and enterprise service alignment.By leveraging complementary strengths and shared resources, the two universities will establish a multidimensional collaborative framework, providing fresh impetus to China-Thailand educational exchanges and regional economic integration.
