College of Traffic and Transportation Successfully Co-organizes 10th International Conference on Electromechanical Control Technology and Transportation

From June 6th to 8th, the 10th International Conference on Electromechanical Control Technology and Transportation (ICECTT 2025) took place in Guilin. The conference was hosted by Guilin University of Electronic Technology (GUET) and co-organized by its School of Architecture and Transportation Engineering, along with the College of Traffic and Transportation of Nanning University. The event attracted approximately 150 experts and scholars from universities across China and abroad. Among the participants were Prof. Fan Yi, Dean of College of Traffic and Transportation, faculty members Wang Liyuan and Gu Guobin from UNN, as well as Distinguished Research Fellow Dr. Ahmad Nazrul Hakimi bin Ibrahim from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, commonly referred to as Nazrul.


The opening ceremony featured joint remarks by Wang Tao, Dean of GUET’s School of Architecture and Transportation Engineering, and Dean Fan Yi. The conference invited distinguished keynote speakers such as Prof. Niu Shifeng from Chang’an University, Prof. Zhong Shaopeng from Dalian University of Technology, Prof. Yang Xin from Beijing Jiaotong University, Associate Prof. Jiang Yu from Lancaster University, and Researcher Jing Hui from GUET. Experts explored cutting-edge topics including AI- and big data-driven technologies, intelligent driving, and integrated passenger-freight transportation systems, offering attendees groundbreaking academic insights.


During the oral presentation sessions, scholars from institutions such as Shanghai Maritime University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Soochow University, and GUET shared their research findings. Faculty members Gu Guobin and Nazrul from Nanning University also delivered compelling presentations. Additionally, multiple academic achievements from UNN College of Traffic and Transportation were selected for exhibition at the conference.


UNN College of Traffic and Transportation has successfully hosted the ICECTT for two consecutive years, significantly elevating its global academic standing and establishing a premier platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, cutting-edge technological discussions, and collaborative opportunities among international scholars. The seamless execution of this year's conference has substantially advanced in-depth global academic cooperation in transportation research, playing a pivotal role in nurturing the school's postgraduate programs, fostering multidisciplinary synergy, and driving institutional excellence. UNN remains committed to cultivating top-tier transportation professionals through innovative pedagogical approaches, while actively bridging theoretical breakthroughs with practical applications to propel transformative advancements in the global transportation industry.
