August 16th-19th, Ministry of Education’s Industry-University Cooperation Automotive Talent Construction Conference and the 2024 National College Students’ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition in Automotive Intelligent Cloud launch ceremony were held at the Kyriad Hotel in Taian, Shandong, China. Prof. Fan Yi, Dean of College of Traffic and Transportation, Nanning University and Han Yiyong, Senior Engineer were invited to attend. Leaders, college and university teachers, scholars and experts in the national automotive field gathered to explore the future trend of integration between industry and education, and draw up a blueprint for the future.

Wang Shoufa, Chairman of China Education Association of Machinery Industry(CEAMI), delivered an opening speech and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to colleagues from automotive education and industry. He pointed out that the integration of industry and education is the key driving force for the prosperous development of the automobile industry, the powerful support for scientific and technological leapfrogging, the important embodiment of the country’s prosperity, and the inevitable way to realize the strategy of a strong automobile country. Ministry of Education organized Chat Car City Smart Cloud Platform of Shanghai Qiaoyuan Investment and Development Co., Ltd. to provide strong support for the Industry-University Cooperation Collaborative Education project for colleges and universities. Cloud Light Car and Employment Creation Platform is to deepen the supply and demand docking, promote employment education, and build College of Chat Car City Internet Industry. These measures marked the in-depth implementation and remarkable results of the integration between industry and education, and set a model for the integrated development of automotive education and industry.
In the report Innovative Synergy in Education and Industry to Build New National Automotive Teaching Achievements, Prof. Duan Weifeng, the General Supervisor of UGIE 2023, elaborated on the mission and teaching achievements of educators in the integration of industry and education. A number of leaders and experts from different universities, including Yunnan Agricultural University, Qingdao University, Shenyang Ligong University, and Nanning University, focused on key topics such as the integration of knowledge industries, aligning talent training programs with industry needs, and linkage between talent cultivation and technological innovation. They conducted professional dialogues, multi-perspective discussions, deep-level analysis, and drew a blueprint for automotive education in the new era.

They discussed important issues such as the construction of the boutique course system that integrates industry wisdom and practice, the compilation of planning textbooks that lead students to explore and pass on scientific knowledge, and the implementation program to achieve resource sharing for teaching without boundaries relying on the Chat Car City Smart Cloud Platform in the forum themed CMPEDU·Emerging Engineering Education·Expert Seminar on New Textbooks and Curriculum for Automotive in General Higher Education and the Ceremony of Excellent Editorial Board Commendation and New Textbook Editorial Board Appointment. Wang Shoufa, Chairman of CEAMI and Song Xuemin, the expert of CMPEDU, presented honorary certificates to the editorial board members for their outstanding contributions to the cultivation of automotive engineers and the cause of science and education.

There are three College of Chat Car City Internet Industry were unveiled respectively by representatives of three universities: Nanning University(UNN), Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University(SHZQU) and West Yunnan University of Applied Sciences(WYUAS). The representatives of UNN are Prof. Fan Yi, Dean of College of Traffic and Transportation, Han Yiyong, Senior Engineer. The representatives of SHZQU are Prof. Huang Lixin, Vice President of SHZQU and Prof. Wang Shuxin, Party Secretary and Dean of College of Intelligent Manufacturing. The representative of WYUAS is Zheng Xiaohua, Member of CPC Committee and Deputy Dean of College of Jewelry, WYUAS. Also presented at the ceremony were: Wang Shoufa, Chairman of CEAMI, Liu Yaqin, Executive Vice Secretary General, Song Xuemin, the expert of CMPEDU, Li Xing, President of Shanghai Qiaoyuan Investment and Development Co., Ltd. Chat Car City Internet Industry Colleges were inaugurated in three universities respectively, marking a new progress in automotive industry-education integration. Industry colleges fully integrates the new generation of information technology, accurately grasps the demand for talents in the automobile industry, integrates high-quality educational resources, cultivates automobile talents in the new era, and promotes industrial upgrading.

At the forum of China International College Students’ Innovation Competition 2024(CICSIC) Industry Track Chat Car City Proposition and the award ceremony of “Ten Gold Projects” of the school-level final, the excellent instructors deeply analyzed the answer strategies and project plans. They also shared the excellent projects of the teams in the 2023 National College Students’ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition in Automotive Intelligent Cloud and the valuable practical experience of being selected for the proposition. Ten outstanding projects from eight universities stood out in this school-level final, and the student team of Liang Guangzhen from UNN’s Automotive Service Engineering was awarded the School-level Final Gold Award and successfully advanced to the provincial round of the industrial track. At the meeting, Wang Shoufa and Liu Yaqin with the participating experts and scholars jointly launched 2024(the 8th) National College Students’ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition. The competition is hosted by CEAMI, supported by CADCC and CMPEDU, and organized by the CEAMI Automobile Service Engineering Professional Committee and Shanghai Qiaoyuan Investment and Development Co., Ltd. This competition is composed of three major team projects: auto finance manager, second-hand car appraiser, and new energy vehicle engineering and technology. Relying on Chat Car City Smart Cloud Platform, it realized the deep integration of theory and practice. The competition aimed to comprehensively improve the innovative practice and entrepreneurial ability of teachers and students, as well as to demonstrate the teaching achievements and accelerate the transformation of academic achievements into industry. Chat Car City New Energy Development Co., Ltd. will focus on recommending the outstanding automotive projects of the competition to advance to 2025 CICSIC Automotive Industry Track, which is jointly organized by 13 ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Education and The United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, and builds a broad platform for cultivating more automotive engineers of excellence with the spirit of innovation and practical ability.
