From September 24 to 28, the 21st China-ASEAN Expo(CAEXPO) and The 21st China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit were held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Under the coordinated arrangement of Nanning Foreign Affairs Office, Nanning University selected seven outstanding faculty members to the 21st CAEXPO to devote themselves to the foreign guest reception service of this international event. They jointly helped to make the CAEXPO a more distinctive, higher level and more effective event, and contribute to the building of a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.

During the reception service for foreign guests of the Expo, with solid foreign language skills, professional knowledge and skills, and warm and friendly service attitude, the seven faculty members successfully received a number of government and enterprise delegations, including BacGiang, Vietnam, Rebana, Indonesia, Bundaberg, Australia, Morelia, Mexico, Perak, Malaysia, Ipoh, Malaysia, Unisem Group, Malaysia. They assisted foreign guests to participate in important events, such as 2024 Nanning-Hanoi Economic Corridor and “Belt and Road” Nanning Frendship Cities Exchange Conference, 2024 Nanning International Friendship Cities Economy, Trade and Industry Matchmaking Conference, as well as important meetings and dinners with leaders of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Nanning. The seven faculty members were involved in ensuring the success of the activities of the participating guests during the CAEXPO, which was recognized and praised by the foreign guests.

The success of the 21st China-ASEAN Expo has played a positive role in promoting the construction of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Version 3.0 and regional high-quality growth. Nanning University has been the service unit of ASEAN Expo for 2 consecutive years. The outstanding performance of the selected faculty members in the event reflected the importance Nanning University attached to the CAEXPO, as well as the professional quality cultivation of the faculty, and fully demonstrates the external exchange and service ability of the faculty of Nanning University.

In the future, Nanning University will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN institutions in the field of education, and encourage teachers and students to actively participate. It will make full use of the location advantage of facing ASEAN, actively respond to the “Belt and Road” initiative, and contribute to the cultivation of talents with international vision and cross-cultural communication skills.
