On May 10, 2024, Professor Tan Chee Fai, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), Malaysia, and his delegation of three people visited Nanning University. Mr. Gong Ji, Vice President of Nanning University, met with the foreign guests and had a discussion and exchange in Conference Room 400 of the Administration Building. The relevant persons in charge of the Office of Development Planning and Cooperation and Exchange, College of ASEAN Studies, College of Architecture and Civil and Engineering, College of Intelligent Manufacturing, and College of Artificial Intelligence and Software of Nanning University were present at the meeting.

Vice President Gong Ji first expressed his warm welcome to the visit of Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur and briefly introduced the basic situation of Nanning University. He claimed that the university has always been committed to internationalization and attached importance to the cooperation with IUKL. President Li Dongxue immediately deployed and implemented the cooperation projects that could be carried out after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the end of his visit last year. The cooperation between China and Malaysia in the field of education has natural advantages and broad prospects, and it is hoped that the two schools will carry out comprehensive and in-depth cooperation.

Professor Tan Chee Fai, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of IUKL, thanked Nanning University for its warm reception. He said Nanning University is the first domestic institution to visit IUKL, and the visit of President Li Dongxue visit to IUKL last year reflects the importance Nanning University attaches to the cooperation between the two sides. It is hoped that both sides will continue to carry out in-depth cooperation on the basis of the existing cooperation and realize win-win cooperation between the two universities.

Subsequently, the participants exchanged views on the difficulties and problems of the joint cultivation of master's degree students and the exchange program that is being promoted and discussed the cooperation that can be further carried out in the future, including short-term study tours for students, the mutual appointment of visiting professors in specialized fields, scientific research cooperation and transformation of achievements, and the introduction of resources in the field of intelligent manufacturing.

After the meeting, Vice President Gong Ji presented a souvenir to Professor Tan Chee Fai and expressed his hope that the two universities would accelerate the landing of the existing projects.

Before the meeting, Qin Fengcai, director of the Office of Development Planning and Cooperation and Exchange, accompanied the foreign guests to visit the Intelligent Manufacturing Research and Innovation Center and the Structural Hall of the College of Architecture and Civil and Engineering.

In the next step, Nanning University will continue to take the College of Architecture and Civil and Engineering as the main force to steadily promote the undergraduate exchange study and postgraduate joint cultivation program with IUKL to achieve results.
