From May 6 to May 9, Gong Ji, Vice President of Nanning University,  led the team to visit Vietnam. The delegation visited the park of the Vietnam Project Department of China Railway Sixth Group Co., Ltd., HANOI METRO, Hanoi University, Thuongmai University, Hanoi University of Industry for visits and exchanges, which officially opened the international exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises and universities.  

Accompanied by Mr. Wang Bin, General Manager of Vietnam Light Rail Project Department of China Railway Sixth Group Co., Ltd. and Mr. Huang Zexin, Manager of Vehicle Section of Hanoi Light Rail Company of Vietnam, Vice President Gong Ji and his delegation visited relevant facilities and equipment of Hanoi Light Rail Vehicle Section, and got to know about the construction of Hanoi Light Rail by China Railway Sixth Group Co., Ltd. After that, the delegation had a discussion and exchange with Mr. Wu Wochang, General Manager of Hanoi Light Rail Company of Vietnam. Mr. Wu welcomed the visit of Nanning University. He indicated that Hanoi is building rail transportation facilities, and the company is in urgent need of special training for technicians and managers. Vice President Gong Ji introduced the situation of Nanning University and invited Mr. Wu to lead a field visit to Nanning University to promote cooperation. General Manager Wu Wochang expressed his willingness to visit and exchange in Nanning, and the two sides reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation.

Discussion and exchange with Hanoi Light Rail Company of Vietnam

During the visit to Hanoi University, Vice President Gong Ji and his delegation had a discussion and exchange with TS. NGUYEN TIEN DZUNG, Vice President of Hanoi University, NGUYEN NGOC TAN, Head of International Exchange Office, and other leaders of the International Exchange Office, Academic Affairs Office, and Chinese Department. Representatives of both sides introduced their respective universities and the internationalization of school running. Vice President Gong Ji expressed his desire to cooperate with Hanoi University in the areas of student exchanges, mutual visits of teachers, and so on. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on the contents of cooperation and reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation.

During the visit to Thuongmai University, Dr. He Wenshi, Vice President of Thuongmai University, warmly received Vice President Gong Ji and his delegation. The leaders of both sides introduced the history of their respective universities and the situation of international exchanges and cooperation. Both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation after in-depth exchanges and reached a broad consensus on mutual visits of teachers and students, jointly creative work, scientific research cooperation, and so on.

During the visit to Hanoi University of Industry, Vice President Gong Ji and his delegation had a discussion and exchange with Ph.D Pham Van Dong, Vice President of Hanoi University of Industry, Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of External Affairs, and other leaders. Ph.D Pham Van Dong, Vice President of Hanoi University of Industry, expressed his hope to explore cooperation in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and other disciplines. Vice President Gong Ji expressed that engineering-based disciplines and majors of Nanning University have a natural basis for cooperation with Hanoi University of Industry, and he suggested that the two sides could cooperate in the field of student exchanges, mutual visits of teachers, and other programs. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on the contents of cooperation and expressed that they would push forward the cooperation as soon as possible.

This visit of Nanning University to Vietnamese enterprises and universities reached a number of cooperative consensus, which opened the prelude of cooperation between Nanning University and Vietnam. In the future, Nanning University will continue to promote substantive cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises and universities in the form of technical skills training, humanities and academic exchanges, and mutual visits between teachers and students.
