From April 28 to April 30, Vice President Gong Ji led a visit to Thai universities. Heads of Guangxi Key Laboratory of International Join for China-ASEAN Comprehensive Transportation, Office of Development Planning and Cooperation and Exchange, College of ASEAN, and deputy dean of College of Transportation, College of Business, and College of Art and Design participated in the visit. The visit was divided into two teams and went to Shinawatra University, Srinakharinwirot University, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, Banphai Industrial and Community Education College, and Office of the Vocational Education Commission for visits and exchanges, which aims at expanding the new cooperation in the field of higher education and vocational education between Nanning University and Thailand.
On April 29, a team led by Vice President Gong Ji visited Shinawatra University and had a discussion and exchange with President Chow Price. Both sides agreed that there could be in-depth cooperation in the fields of Business Administration, Computer Science and Technology, Built Environment and Technology, Information and Communication Technology and other disciplines and fields. The parties reached an intention of cooperation and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.

Nanning University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation with Shinawatra University
On April 30, Vice President Gong Ji and his delegation paid a return visit to Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University and Srinakharinwirot University, which are universities that visited Nanning University in May 2023 and March 2024. The delegation was warmly received by the Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanakorn Sawangcharoen, President of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, and Prof. Sakarin, Authorized Advisor to the President of Srinakharinwirot University on Chinese Affairs. During the meeting, Vice President Gong Ji introduced the school running situation of Nanning University and sincerely invited two universities to attend the Open Cooperation and Development Conference to be held by Nanning University in June 2024. Both sides stated that they would give full play to their respective advantages, and carry out in-depth cooperation on specific projects such as short-term exchange of undergraduates, exchange of students, "2+2" undergraduates joint cultivation, and joint cultivation of undergraduates and masters.

On April 29, Wen Xuguang, director of Guangxi Key Laboratory of International Join for China-ASEAN Comprehensive Transportation, and his delegation returned to visit Banphai Industrial and Community Education College. Mr. Piti Tiyadechachai, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Banphai Industrial and Community Education College, introduced the long history of cooperation between the two universities. President Banjong Phonkhan stated that Banphai Industrial and Community Education College attaches great importance to the cooperation between the two institutions in the internationalization of education and science and technology. He hoped that the two universities would continue to develop in-depth cooperation such as mutual visits of teachers and students, joint teaching, collaborative scientific research and academic upgrading, on the basis of the existing cooperation in the training and cultivation of students and teachers as well as scientific research. Subsequently, the two sides jointly launched the Guangxi Transportation New Technology Transfer Thailand Sub-center.
Note: 1. In 2014, Nanning University trained 26 urban rail transit teachers for 18 vocational colleges in Thailand;
2. In 2023, Nanning University jointly declared and set up an international science and technology cooperation project for Guangxi Science and Technology Key Research and Development with Banphai Industrial and Community Education College.
Launching Ceremony of Guangxi Transportation New Technology Transfer Thailand Sub-center
On April 30, Director Wen Xuguang and his delegation visited the Office of the Vocational Education Commission. Mr. Buppa Pedthip, Director of Cooperation and Exchange Department of Office of the Vocational Education Commission, and presidents and vice-presidents of 6 colleges and universities attended the meeting. Mr. Buppa Pedthip hoped that Nanning University could provide more teacher training programs and international student education and teaching cooperation in the field of rail transportation, digital supply chain, new energy vehicles, cross-border e-commerce and Chinese education. Representatives from colleges and universities expressed their strong desire to cooperate with Nanning College and expressed their hope to sign a strategic cooperation agreement with Nanning College to strengthen the interaction between Chinese and Thai colleges and universities, and to make greater efforts to serve the "One Belt, One Road" to build internationalized professional and skilled talents together.
Discussion and exchange with the Office of the Vocational Education Commission and universities in Thailand
Through this visit to Thailand, Nanning University has made new partners, deepened the friendship of cooperating institutions, and reached a consensus on a series of cooperation projects. This visit is a pragmatic initiative to implement the school's international exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN, and a concrete action to open up new channels for education. Nanning University will take the visit as an opportunity and strive to promote the school's internationalization to open up a new situation.
