On October 26, a delegation comprising Datuk Rospiagos bin Taha, Director General of Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia, and Dato' Looi Hei Tyng, JP, President of Malaysia Guangxi Chamber of Commerce, visited Nanning University. They engaged in in-depth discussions with the university regarding educational and training cooperation. The delegation first toured the campus. Subsequently, both parties convened a symposium in Conference Room 400 of the Administration Building, chaired by Vice President Gong Ji of Nanning University.
At the meeting, President Li Dongxue extended a warm welcome to Datuk Rospiagos bin Taha, Dato' Looi Hei Tyng, JP, and their delegation. Through promotional videos, he provided an overview of Nanning University, emphasizing its unique educational features and strengths. He noted that the delegation's visit was a recognition of the achievements made during the previous week's visit to Malaysia, as part of the accompanying group. Given the geographical proximity, strong people-to-people ties, and cultural similarities between China and Malaysia, there is immense potential and a promising future for multi-dimensional cooperation between the two sides.
Datuk Rospiagos bin Taha expressed his gratitude for the warm reception extended by Nanning University. He briefly introduced Malaysia's urgent needs in vocational education and training, artificial intelligence, and other related fields, expressing his hope for future project collaborations with Nanning University in these areas to positively contribute to the development of China-Malaysia friendship.
Subsequently, both sides engaged in lively discussions on topics such as the Huawei digital ecosystem, Huawei certification system, co-construction of industry colleges and curricula, and new energy vehicle training. They reached a preliminary consensus, particularly in the area of technical talent training.
In conclusion, President Li Dongxue presented souvenirs from Nanning University to Datuk Rospiagos bin Taha and Dato' Looi Hei Tyng, JP, expressing his sincere appreciation and best wishes for the exchange. Nanning University will seize this opportunity to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with Malaysia, working hand in hand to translate the cooperation blueprint into concrete actions and contributing educational strength to the construction of a China-Malaysia community with a shared future.
