On March 26, a four-member delegation led by Dr. SAMKHAN ROJANA THAVORN, Vice President of Rattnan Bundit University, visited Nanning University. The delegation toured the Art Gallery and the Guangxi Key Laboratory of International Join for China-ASEAN Comprehensive Transportation, followed by a discussion session.
The meeting, hosted in Room 111 of the University's Administration Building, was attended by Dr. SAMKHAN ROJANA THAVORN, Vice President of International Affairs; Dr. PA WRIN RATTANAPIAN, Assistant to the President; Dr. Zheng Zhiyu, Deputy Dean of the International College; and Ms. Chen Yueheng, International College Dean's Assistant and Translator. Representing Nanning University were Dr. Gong Ji, Vice President of Nanning University, along with heads of relevant departments and faculty representatives. The session was moderated by Huang Yu, Dean of College of Art and Design.
Following introductions, both institutions showcased their histories, philosophies, and academic strengths through promotional videos. Dr. Gong Ji extended a warm welcome to the guests, highlighting Nanning University's profile, educational priorities, and recent achievements in international exchanges. He emphasized the alignment of both universities' offerings in design and sports-related disciplines, proposing collaboration in short-term student exchanges, master's degree programs, and mutual learning initiatives. He also invited Rattnan Bundit University to join the Neighbor Partners Alliance Among UNN-ASEAN Universities—a platform co-founded by Nanning University and six ASEAN universities in June 2024, to advance cooperation in student mobility, joint undergraduate/graduate programs, faculty exchanges, and collaborative research.
Dr. SAMKHAN ROJANA THAVORN expressed gratitude for the reception and outlined Rattnan Bundit University's institutional strengths, particularly in international student services. He welcomed Nanning University faculty to pursue advanced studies at Rattnan Bundit University and proposed partnerships in master's programs, short-term exchanges, and joint research in digital media, broadcast arts, and physical education, aiming to strengthen Sino-Thai educational ties.
Subsequent discussions focused on student progression, faculty degree programs, joint research, credit recognition, and curriculum development, yielding consensus on several fronts, including student advancement pathways and credit exchange mechanisms.
The meeting concluded with a gift exchange between Dr. Gong Ji and Dr. SAMKHAN ROJANA THAVORN, symbolizing mutual appreciation and aspirations for future collaboration. Nanning University views this visit as a pivotal step toward deepening engagement with Rattnan Bundit University, fostering educational and cultural synergy between the institutions.
