2025 Training Program for Key Teachers from the Vocational Education Commision of Thailand Successfully Concluded at Nanning University

On the afternoon of April 25, the closing ceremony of the 2025 Training Program for Key Teachers from the Vocational Education Commision of Thailand at Nanning University" was held at A108 of Fuwenyuan. This program, a milestone in Sino-Thai vocational education cooperation, aimed to enhance Thai educators’ expertise in new energy vehicle (NEV) technologies and deepen bilateral collaboration in vocational education.


Fan Yi, Dean of Nanning University’s College of Traffic and Transportation, welcomed attendees, including Mr. Sarojn Kojuantiaw, Advisor to Thailand’s Vocational Education Commission; presidents of 9 Thai institutions; 16 participating Thai faculty members; and representatives from Nanning University, including Vice President Gong Ji, Director Wen Xuguang, Director Qin Fengcai, Dean Wu Jie, and program instructors.


Vice President Gong Ji congratulated the 16 Thai educators on completing the program and commended the School of Transportation’s faculty for their dedication. He reflected on the enduring partnership between Thailand’s Vocational Education Commission and Nanning University, marked by achievements in talent cultivation and industry-academia collaboration. Emphasizing future prospects, he proposed deeper cooperation in joint research, specialized technical training, and dual-degree programs.


Mr. Sarojn Kojuantiaw, Advisor to Thailand’s Vocational Education Commission, highlighted the program’s objectives: advancing teachers’ technical proficiency, modernizing pedagogical approaches, and fostering high-quality vocational education. He thanked Nanning University for its support and hospitality, expressing confidence in strengthened Sino-Thai ties.


Prof. Lin Xudong, representing the training faculty, congratulated the graduates and acknowledged the collective efforts of organizers and instructors. He praised the Thai educators’ dedication to vocational education and the program’s role in bridging Sino-Thai pedagogical philosophies.


Mr. Chaiya Thabvithorn, speaking on behalf of the trainees, praised the program for enriching their understanding of NEV theories and practices. He pledged to apply this knowledge in Thailand’s vocational education sector, contributing to the nation’s ambition to become an electric vehicle manufacturing hub.


In a closing ceremony highlight, Nanning University signed memorandums of understanding with four Thai institutions—Hatyai Technical College, Kalasin Industrial and Community Education College, Nong Kung Sri Industrial and Community Education College, and Nongsonghong Industrial and Community Education College—expanding opportunities for future collaboration.


The successful hosting of this training program not only enhanced the professional capabilities of key Thai vocational education teachers but also injected new vitality into Sino-Thai vocational education exchange and cooperation, laying a solid foundation for deeper future collaboration across more fields. Nanning University will remain committed to the philosophy of open cooperation, strengthening vocational education exchanges and collaborations with ASEAN countries, and contributing to the cultivation of more highly skilled technical professionals.
