The 12th Asia-Pacific Drying Conference (ADC) & the 20th National Drying Conference (CDC) was held in Changzhou, Jiangsu from October 25 to 28. With the theme of “Green Intelligence Driving the Development of New Quality Productive Forces in the Drying Industry,” the conference brought together nearly 600 experts, scholars, enterprise representatives, and young researchers from over a dozen countries including China, Canada, and Australia. As one of the co-organizers of this conference, Nanning University was honored with the “Excellent Partner Award” by the conference organizers for its outstanding organizational work and academic contributions, highlighting the university's academic influence and collaborative spirit in the field of drying.
The conference set up 14 thematic sub-forums covering various cutting-edge research directions in drying technology. These included the High-end International Forum on Green Drying Technology, the Sub-forum on Drying of Bulk Agricultural Product Resources, the Sub-forum on Energy-saving Drying Technologies for Block Materials Using Heat Pumps/Hot Air, the Sub-forum on Vacuum and Pulse Pressure Drying Technologies, the Sub-forum on Drying Technologies for Traditional Chinese Medicinal Materials, and the Sub-forum on Microwave Drying Technologies, among others. These sub-forums delved into the latest research achievements and application practices of drying technology from different perspectives, reflecting that drying technology is moving towards greater efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and higher intelligence. During the conference, the organizing committee released “Fifty Glorious Years of Drying in China: 1975-2025,” which systematically reviewed the historic leap of China's drying technology from catching up to leading, and from traditional to modern.
As a co-organizer of this conference, Nanning University participated in the entire process of conference preparation and organization, providing strong support for the smooth convening of the conference. Dr. Li Bingzheng and Dr. Zhang Yu from the College of Food and Quality Engineering attended this international conference as representatives. They engaged in extensive exchanges with participating experts and delved into the cutting-edge knowledge and technological trends in the field of drying. At the grand release ceremony of “Fifty Glorious Years of Drying in China,” Nanning University was honored with the “Excellent Partner Award” by the conference organizers for its outstanding organizational work and academic contributions, demonstrating the university's academic influence and collaborative spirit in the field of drying.
