On June 7, 2024, Nanning University reached a cooperation agreement with Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU) to jointly implement the "2024 Language and Culture Study Tour Program". A team of 20 students and teachers from BSRU visited Nanning University for 12 days from June 6th to June 17th. The program aims to further promote a deep knowledge and understanding of Chinese and Thai cultures among the young students of the two universities through in-depth language learning and cultural exchange activities, so as to enhance mutual friendship, promote exchanges and cooperation between the young students of the two countries, and cultivate a youth group in Thailand that is knowledgeable about China, friendly to China and pro-Chinese. It is hoped that this program will open a new chapter for the educational exchanges and cooperation between the two schools, so as to take this opportunity to start the cooperation and study exchanges with universities in ASEAN countries.
The program is centered on two core areas: language learning and cultural exchange. In terms of language learning, the program provides targeted Chinese language courses, such as comprehensive Chinese language courses on Guangxi's unique culture, to help international students improve their language skills. In terms of cultural exchange, the program plans a variety of cultural activities, such as the Chinese character calligraphy experience, national intangible cultural heritage - Qinzhou Cement Pottery production experience, etc., so that students can experience the unique charm of Chinese culture. In addition, the program arranges field trips to cultural attractions, such as Qingxiu Mountain and Guangxi Ethnic Museum, to promote understanding and respect for Guangxi culture. During this period, international students gain an in-depth understanding of Chinese history, art, social customs, etc. through classroom teaching, hands-on activities and interaction with local students.
