From June 26th to 27th, Guangxi Key Laboratory of International Join for China-ASEAN Comprehensive Transportation invited Dr. Boonsub Panichakarn from Naresuan University, Thailand to visit Nanning University and participate in a two-day academic exchange and academic lectures. Dr. Boonsub Panichakarn was the Vice President of Naresuan University, the Dean of School of Logistics and Supply Chain, and the Supervisor of Doctoral Students, whose main research field is logistics and supply chain.
In the afternoon of June 26, the Academic Exchange Symposium was held in Room E201 of South Silicon Valley. Prof. Wen Xuguang, Director of Guangxi Key Laboratory of International Join for China-ASEAN Comprehensive Transportation, Dr. Chen Jianqiu, Deputy Director of the lab, Prof. Gong Renxi, Dean of College of Transportation, Associate Prof. Pang Yanzhi, Deputy Dean of College of Transportation, and relevant teachers of College of Transportation attended the meeting. The two sides had in-depth discussions and communication on future international scientific cooperation and talent training. Prof. Wen Xuguang presented Dr. Boonsub Panichakarn with the certificate of Special Expert of Guangxi Key Laboratory of International Join for China-ASEAN Comprehensive Transportation.
On the morning of June 27, the Development Planning and Cooperation and Exchange Office of Nanning University hosted an international academic lecture, which was organized by Guangxi China-ASEAN International Joint Key Laboratory of Comprehensive Transportation and School of Transportation, and for the first time, foreign experts were invited to make an academic report. Dr. Boonsub Panichakarn was invited to give a report in English on the theme of "Logistics Connectivity" in lecture hall A108 of Fuwenyuan. Dr. Panichakarn, through a set of vivid pictures and wonderful data analysis, introduced the evolution of logistics and supply chain, sustainable development of logistics, digital supply chain framework, global (especially the Beibu Gulf Economic Circle) major countries and regions logistics performance index, China-ASEAN Logistics Interconnection Construction, China (Guangxi) Thailand Logistics and Supply Chain Cooperation Research Direction and other aspects were discussed and reported. The report has a broad academic vision and rich content, and teachers and students gain a lot. In the final session, Dr. Boonsub Panichakarn had a cordial and friendly interaction with teachers and students and answered the questions raised by students in detail. The lecture was hosted by Pang Yanzhi, vice dean of the Faculty of Transportation, and 100 teachers and students listened to the lecture. Nanning University attached great importance to teachers and students to carry out cross-disciplinary and innovative research on transportation logistics from an international perspective and using diversified research methodologies, and this academic lecture provided teachers and students at Nanning University with new international ideas as well as extended the international scientific and technological cooperation and technical exchanges.
