From November 16 to 23, 2023, President Li Dongxue led a delegation to make a friendly visit to a number of renowned universities in Singapore and Malaysia, aiming at expanding the international cooperation and exchange map, in order to further promote the cooperation between Nanning University and foreign institutions in the fields of teaching, research, and other areas, and to provide teachers and students with more internationalized learning and exchange opportunities.
In Malaysia, the delegation visited six universities including the University of Malaya, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology, Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur, Multimedia University, and had friendly exchanges with the representatives of several universities to learn about their experiences and practices in various aspects.
During this visit, Nanning University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur, and a Letter of Intent on Cooperation with the University of Malaya. Meanwhile, the visit to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia was also reported by Malaysia's largest Chinese-language daily newspaper, Sin Chew Daily.
President Li Dongxue indicated that the visit was an important initiative for our university to deepen international education cooperation and enhance the internationalization level of school running. He hoped that through this visit, the exchanges and cooperation between Nanning University and institutions in ASEAN countries could be further strengthened, and new vitality could be injected into the development of the university.
The success of this visit marks an important step for Nanning University in international education exchange and cooperation. In the future, Nanning University will continue to actively carry out exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries and provide more learning and development opportunities for teachers and students.
